Inpatient Medical Detox Program

Texas NeuroRehab Center Recovery offers an inpatient medical detox program for those suffering from co-occurring substance abuse disorders. The program is led by an experienced group of onsite physicians, including a neuropsychologist, psychiatrist and addictionologist. The treatment team of physicians, nurses, techs, therapists, chaplains, social workers and case managers provides the highest quality care for those suffering from co-occurring substance abuse, psychiatric and medical issues.

Medical Capabilities

  • Hospital level provider with 24/7 nursing and daily physician visits
  • Ability to manage medically complex patients, including wound care
  • Physician directed medication management
  • Physician and nurse monitoring of detox and withdrawal symptoms
  • Direct transfer from acute hospitals
  • Access to physical, occupational and speech therapy as needed
  • Neuropsychiatric evaluations as needed
  • Wheelchairs and walkers provided for safety
  • Board-certified wound care physician onsite

Program Staff

Dr. Daniel Garrison is the Director of Neuropsychology and has been with TNC since 2019.

Norman M. Whisenant, DO, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Dr. Norman ‘Chip’ Whisenant is a full-time, onsite physician and a Certified Wound Care Specialist. He has been with TNC since 1999.

Dr. Craig Franke is a general adult psychiatrist and also specializes in Addiction Medicine. He has been with TNC since 2011.
